Pai Gow Poker was created from a combination of the old Chinese game "Pai Gow" and classic American Poker. The aim of the game is to create two hands higher than the dealer's hands. If one hand has the same value as the dealer's hand, the game ends in a draw. If one player's hand is won and the other is lost, the game ends with a "Push" and the bets placed remain on the table.
Game rules
The Pai Gow poker game virtual casino "in South Africa, the standard deck consists of 52 cards and one joker".
The player is dealt seven cards and must make two hands out of them: one consisting of five cards (High Hand or higher hand) and the other consisting of two cards (Low Hand or lower hand). A five-card hand must be higher than a two-card hand.
Example: a player's hand consists of an ace, an ace, 9, 7, 5, 4, 3. In this case, both aces can not be given to the lower hand (Low Hand).
The score is the same as in traditional poker. A pair of Aces is the highest combination in a two-card hand, and in a five-card hand the highest combination is a Royal Flush. A player's five-card hand is always played against the dealer's five-card hand, as is the case with a two-card hand. Pai Gow Poker is played according to the rules applied by the Nevada Gaming Commission.
Exception: a player cannot be a dealer or play as a "Dragon". Bets placed are not forfeited if the player mistakenly plays a Dead Hand, e.g. when higher and lower Cards are incorrectly assigned. In this case, you will receive a warning from casinos in Netherlands .
Creating "Pai Gow" layouts
Joker can substitute any card to create Straights, Flushes, and poker (Straight Flushes). If the joker is used in a Straight or a poker flush, it gets the value and color of that card that is needed to complete the hand. If the joker is used to complete a color (Flush), then it gets the highest value of the missing color. A Joker that is used separately becomes an ace. The Joker can never be used to create pairs, except to pair with an ace or to create a three (Three of a Kind), Four (Four of a Kind) or five (Five of a Kind).
